Measure the product and finished pack, inspect material behavior, count, orientation, compression and upstream presentation.
A machine should be proven on the pack.
Use these checkpoints when evaluating a supplier proposal: product, packaging material, target format and site utilities. Agree any physical trial and its acceptance criteria separately.
Configure the path
Select feeding, pushing, bag handling, corner forming, sealing and trimming around the approved product range.
Define the trial
Ask the supplier to document the proposed sample, seal inspection, target stable output and operator-access checks. Confirm who will run the trial and how it will be accepted.
What to verify with the supplier.
The published values are model-sheet ranges. Ask the supplier to check your actual product and material against the proposed configuration and record the results against agreed criteria.

CARTON SAMPLE CHECKLIST
Make the carton
reviewable.
A sample is useful when it arrives with enough process context to identify the operation and test boundary.
- Carton samples: include relevant open and closed states; label the one that enters the proposed machine.
- Drawing or dieline: mark dimensions, axes, feed direction, flap sequence and glue seam.
- Material notes: record board, coating or finish where known.
- Process record: show the step before and after the proposed machine, including filling when relevant.
- Line interfaces: record infeed/outfeed orientation, available space, power, air and control needs.
- Review question: state the current issue and the result to examine on the actual sample.
